This drum has a thread on the DFO, it hasn't been hurt. but it should be played not used as furniture.

i'd set that sucker upright. add some hoop mounted spurs and a bass pedal and go to it!

I'd put a glass piece over the original L&L painting, if it hasn't been done already...couldn't tell by the photo...

I definitely would NOT do that ( I got a L&L bass drum Sunday to go with the matching snare drum that I've had for a while.)

I do have a mahogany single headed 16" Slingy tom that DOES make a nice end table or night stand.

I could go for green sparkle also.

I agree. The beautiful unmolested antique drum could be admired when used for a very cool drum table. It will still be there ready to go if the owner chooses to play it as a drum.

No matter how far you push the envelope, it is still stationery.
