I'll be different and say keep the Slingy kit. Just something visually about the 1940/early 50s white marine pearls that doesn't do it for me. All yellowy and stuff. Ha.. How's that for indepth commentary?

+1 on keeping the Slingerlands, my opinion is biased though...

There we go...way to stir the pot, Fellas!

Larry...I actually prefer yellowed WMP wrap and don't like it when it's new and white!

I'd trade back for the Leedy's in a drumbeat. :D

The Slingerlands are VERY nice too. I'm just more of a yellowed WMP fan.

Glenn.

Not a guru just havin fun with some old dusty drums.

Stef...good to hear from you. How's life in Belgium? I miss it terribly. I'm hoping to get back in a couple of years. Life gets in the way of touring when you don't do it for a living, but life is great!Aaron

Aaron, Life is great,... if you can stand 6 months of miserable weather of course,...

We surely miss the Cumbiabilly vibes you guys brought to us every year in June.

I would, but would He .....??

I've had 14 Slingerland sets from the 50s forward over the past few years.....I let 6 of them go, but I'll NOT be trading/selling my Leedys anytime soon, if at all.

Got these from my brother, Vintagemore3000 a couple of years back, and they've stayed set up in my "practice room" the longest next to my Luddy Stainless outfit.

Hey Aaron,

As much as I love that Slingerland kit, I would definitely make the trade. That Leedy kit is sick!

Good Lord, she's a beauty! The only reason I let them go was because I needed some cash to buy a house for my family. It was a sacrifice. I will always have the first option of buying them back if he ever decides to sell, but I have never asked him about a trade. We'll see...

Good to hear from you as well, Greg...and thanks for the input. I like the Slingerland kit a whole lot...but that Leedy is classy and impressive.
