What serial number and badge? Makes a difference.

Oval badge Fullerton era, Early Big R through 1979 Serials from D five digit through six digit D ranges, 60xxxx, all 7xxxxx, any 8xxxxx, and all 9xxxxx through 96xxxx ranges will be White Felt, Solid smooth knob face.

Big R after 1979/ No serial Badge, RD Badges and all D Six digit badges from 100,000 and upwards through aprox. 125,000 will be White felt and rough finish rivet top knob.

The no serial number Big R badges are in between the D 96xxxx and the RD 96xxxx numbers. The D badges are 1978-early XP8 1979 production, the No Serial Big R badges are 1980 into early 1981, the RD badges are 1981 into 1982. The late production period D 100,000 and up badges are very late 1982- end of production in 2nd quarter 1984.
