WWII snare drums and catalog Last viewed: 3 hours ago

Loading...

I am going to be selling my 43-44 WFL Victorious snare drum, 43-44 Ludwig & Ludwig Victory marching snare and the 43-44 Ludwig & Ludwig catalog. I am narrowing my collecting to pre-1930 snare drums and drum sets. So if anyone is interested, please let me know. I will be putting these up for auction on E-bay.

Does the Victorious Snare actually tune, or is it just kind of set?

Prices?

Thanks,

Kevin

The small metal circle under the badge is how you tune this drum. There are curved wooden leaf springs that push a wooden circle from the inside of the drum upward. Reverse tensioning is what I would call it. Its a tricky system and if I remember correctly is regarded as the worst system... I think its cool non the less. See my picture below

Any price thoughts on the Victorious snare by chance?

It's listed on E-bay #151105378150 right now. I started it at $199.00 (no reserve) to let everyone have a fair chance at it. It really is a unique drum. I had a complete "Victorious" set at one time, very cool. I'm going to keep my collecting to pre-1930.
