I was asked if i would be willing to trade a yamaha ptx 8 electric kit for a basic acoustic drum kit nothing special , my price is at 300/400 for the drum kit .

i looked them up and i think they were yamies best at the time . the owner claims they are in mint shape with no issues. still i'm not all that much into electric drums. and do you think i could get my money out of it should i get sick of it. and if i go see the his kit is there anything i should look out for.

Any thoughts or help would be great .

The editing on those were nothing less than SPECTACULAR!!! Want a reverse, reverberating backwards kick drum sound- it's there with ease!!!! Individual outs make it even better!!!!

Jump on it!!!

$200 is basically all of the money for the unit. Any hardware with the pads? They work with typical Yamaha hex rods (the longer, pre-YESS ones). About $30 per pad is all they're worth. Factor in cartridges and data cards and it's worth more.

You could trigger them and use them in a hair metal band, as well!!!

Yes, I used one back in the day...
