I seems to me that the very first photo reveals clues to solve the mystery. I see that the bottom of the cymbals are still reasonably close to the wall and if that is so then the bottom of the door could actually be raised a good bit. If you look on the right side of his legs there is a little color change horizontally between the foreground and what I think might be the cement foundation (it looks somewhat like the foreground) a little further back under the door jam. Just my two cents.
Interesting. So maybe these could be 24 inchers.Whatever size these were I'd really like to know where they are now.
24" falls into the acceptable range of the results of my highly technical, proprietary technique of measuring my old lady's leg!!!!
