14" 10 hole Snare Hoops w/extended snare gates Last viewed: 38 minutes ago

I need some hoops for a snare drum project I'm working on. Does anybody have a set of 14" 10 hole hoops with extended/deep snare gates? (Like the one in the photo for example.) PM me if you do. Willing to buy or trade.

Ok, I secured a top/batter hoop! I still need the bottom/snare-side 10-hole hoop with the extended gates. (refer to photo above.)

Anybody? I wanna get my snare drum project completed. HELP!

Drum Factory sells one but it's die cast. I didn't see a stamped version with the extended gate. I might have missed it though. $44

If push comes to shove, I might have to go for that one just to have something to put on the drum. Mike Layton is hooking me up with a 60's Ludwig triple flange for the batter side, (COS) I'd like to find a matching triple flange with the extended gates. They're out there, just haven't heard from the 'right guy' yet.

Thanks for the heads up, Glenn. I bookmarked the page in case I have to go with that one.

Anybody out there got one of these snare hoops (see photo above) sitting around collecting dust? PM me, or contact me though this thread.

If this does the trick you may want to call the guy first and make sure he actually has it. I've seen many things misrepresented from his ebay store. Brands are usually correct but the year is often off. This rim is probably early 80's. He does have a phone number in the add though so he should be easy to reach.

Funny, the ad says 8, but the rim in the photo is a 10 hole! I'll call tomorrow and see what the deal is. If he has the one in the photo, it's the hoop I was looking for!

Thanks all and special thanks to my ace-coon-boon, MikeL for the vintage batter hoop. Much appreciated my friend.

Hemi- thanks for the heads up on the snare hoop. I'll check it out for sure.
