Find these,old but never used head(Remo Coated Ambasador),and it is definitivly 17".I tried wit some 16" hoops from Eastern Europe manufacturers,whic were in metric measurement,but it is too big.For what purpose are those dimensions,some percusion instruments?Did anyone ever made 17" tom?It is right of 18" Remo head on the pic

Ludwig used to make a 17" marching tom a long time ago....
I use a 17" Remo Emperor on my 16" concert tom !!
If Im not mistaken, Premier did do some odd size stuff back in the day (9" and 11" toms and the like).

He must be using a wood hoop, or an old 17" metal hoop, because there is NO WAY a 17" head will fit under a 16" hoop!

The hoop is origenal to the drum. They are floating heads !! Conert Phonics,..the inside diameter is 16". Here`s a pic of a thirteen inch head sitting on the bottom of my 13" tom,..if the rim was a little thinner,.. it would fall in !!
The 14" fits fine.
Anyone want a 13" clear Remo Emperor battery I`ll never use,...send me a box and I`ll slip it in !!
