I must say i`ve never heard of this lovely lady(Viola Smith), but check out the drum set.No snare is used in this song-it`s all toms but the set is way ahead of it`s time complete with gong style suspended bass drums.I`m not even sure what they are or what make of drums these are for that matter.Pretty cool for 1939...

This is a great interview. She was amazing, and I believe she was about 98 years of age when she gave this interview.

Unbelievable that Viola is still living and will be 102 yrs. old in November 2014.Bet she can still lay down a roll as she was a fireball in 1939 and that fiestiness has carried over to this day.
