From Rich K.

What other parts are you looking to replace? It's not always worth it to spend a lot of $ on parts if you're not going to end up keeping the set...

I would like to get the two cymbal mounts and holders, and spur mounts.

I would like to get the two cymbal mounts and holders, and spur mounts.

These are the correct spur mounts:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-1963-SLINGERLAND-BASS-DRUM-QTY-2-SPUR-BRACKET-MOUNT-needs-screws-as-is-/170850802728?pt=Vintgae_Drums_Percussion&hash=item27c7805c28

Not these...http://www.ebay.com/itm/60s-70s-VINTAGE-SLINGERLAND-BASS-DRUM-SPUR-LEGS-MOUNTS-MATCHING-PAIR-w-HARDWARE-/280891376095?pt=Vintgae_Drums_Percussion&hash=item41666e41df

these take a thicker spur and would require drilling out the existing holes on your bass drum.

You may be able to tap your existing mounts and get new, thicker wing screws...just make sure the wing is not too wide. That's why Slingerland changed to the second style spur mounts...so the wing screw wouldn't hit the bass drum shell when being tightened.

I wouldn't drill the shell to fill the holes underneath for cymbal mounts.

The mounts could be likely either of two different types, depending on the holes spacing, or even something else since the drum has been messed with.

The correct cymbal mount may have looked like this:

http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_nkw=slingerland+cymbal+mount

EXCEPT, the wing screw would have been on the side of the mount and would have been thinner. The mount shown would work...Slingerland kept that hole spacing into the '80s.

Those cymbal mounts tend to strip...so replacements are out there, but are pricey.

Can't believe I wrote all of this...

BTW, if you're thinking of selling, $450 is a real fair offer for that snare drum.

I doubt you'd get more for it.

If you end up selling the set, I think your best bet would be to sell the floor tom and snare drum separately.

I already have my eyes on them mounts. :)

My cymbal mount has one hole. Not like http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_nkw=...d+cymbal+mount

I'm sure they will be hard to find.
