1969 Ludwig LM402 Keystone badge Last viewed: 0 seconds ago

Hey guys I picked up this amazing supra the other day. April 1969 is the date stamp, P83 strainer, no extra holes and just a few little blisters. Overall 9 out of 10 drum. Problem is I have no idea what this guy is worth? Prices on these seem all over.

Will post pics tonight.

I always try to scan ebay using the advanced "completed items" feature to see which ones sold and at what price. Taking a quick look... looks like $250-$325 is what people are willing to pay for them for your standard Supraphonic... with a couple outliers either high or low.

My outlier- I got mine for $80 on a Craigslist package deal that included a Mapex floor tom and a cracked "symbol" (sic). :)

Jim,

For your standard LM400 I would agree, however, keystone badged LM402's are a much more rare animal.

keystone 402s are getting harder to find. they have been selling for more than 5" brass supers. ones with no chrome blisters do even better. you wont find much on ebay to compare to as there haven't been many sold lately.

I have not seen any of the KB 402`s sell lately. If it was mine, I would keep it and play the crap out of it! I love 402`s.

They really are all over the board!lol. I've seen a couple of kb 402s in socal areas. typically around 400 to 500. I've been kinda pricing them out cuz I want to get a 402. Just not necessarily a kb badge. There's quite few I've seen for quite a bit higher but they sit.

I have a 68 that i scored off ebay a couple of years back with no hoops and later P85 strainer fitted. It was a bargain. At the time I noticed a couple selling for around the same money as 70s B&O models. I assumed that was because the JB fans preferred that badge. But now you hardly ever see them listed. Great drum and there's something about the 60s ones that just seem so cool.

BTW, it looks like the lug inserts on the lug to the right of the badge on yours have been replaced?
