I think I recall seeing theirs a few days ago. I thought it mentioned it was a super sensitive shell that had been re-drilled?

YEP... Vintage 60's Ludwig 6.5 x 14" Supraphonic Snare. In decent shape. Some nicks, dents and scratches finish. Some rust and pitting on the hardware. Some chrome chipping on the throw. Originally it was a super sensitive but was later converted to a supraphonic. This resulted in 4 extra holes. Everything works great. Bottom hoop has a slight bend in it, does not affect anything. The rest of the drum is original except for heads and wires. Check photos for more detail.

That one on ebay is not in the same category. Mine is all original except two lug inserts and snare wires. No extra holes and even factory heads. I have had offers around $1k already but it sounds so good I will keep it around for now. Really want to hear it next to my new one on the way.

I had a Monroe badged 402, IMO, it did not sound as good as the 70`s 402 that I have now. I did not know that the KS 402 went for that kind of money, I am not surprised. Killer drums.

they just don't come up often enough to give us much comparison financially. earlier this year two nice ones sold on ebay for 1200 and 1500 bucks. both were ludalloy models. they were in very nice condition.

this really nice SS was listed today but I guess it's no comparison either. Still, it seems well priced for such a clean one listing # 151488423107

The last one I saw on the Bay sold for $900. I don't think a grant to a grant and a half are way out of line. Considering scarcity. I got a 68' in great shape.
