I'm having trouble finding a 67' Ludwig catalog that has Marching drums. I'ts pathetic that I obsess over this stuff.

Yes Or if you think about it all stainless steel 12x15" are marchers or the High Tension Series they didn't offer but up to a 10x14" Double Headed toms that is in Stainless Steel as a Drum Kit Option. the 12x15 ludwig pulled from the marchers.

Im back... hey I just bought a 12" x 15" S/S tom from the US off freebay. It gets here & it is not S/S its a chrome pig with a snare bed ! An original S/S will have the inside weld visable like all the S/S drums do... these marching drums are spun steel with no seam. They will show little magnetic properties as the steel pig has been dipped in copper before chroming. Bonhams 15" I guess was no doubt S/S hence the different lugs, all of the marching drums have the longer Mach high tension lugs. I see another 18" floor tom on freebay now...I guess me paying a high price is bringing them out of the wood work !

I was watching that tom in fact I even bid on it myself, that was a nice one, Dno, Stainless marchers also came with regular classic lugs also! not just the mach lugs! yeah you brought out a bunch of 18" and 16" steel toms!! Dno, Brother your going to be blown away by your two new toms!! keep us posted!

The guy told me it was a S/S Tom, its an old spun steel marching drum with the galv coating on the inside & snare bedCryBaby

Ah good deal mate sounds like its gone to a real good home... hey what do vistalites sound like, do you own a set Im getting keen on a set. I will get some pics up of the pig I got off freebay this week too mate.
