1976 Ludwig Super-Sensitive -Immaculate!- Last viewed: 4 hours ago

Hi All,

I have a 1976 Ludwig Super-Sensitive for sale that is 'out-of-the-box clean.' There is one single pit on the shell. Just one! This drum is in as close to Mint condition as any snare this old can be. It is clean, clean, clean.

All mechanicals and hardware are in excellent condition. Everything works. No problems, no marks, no dings, no scratches, just new looking. See photos.

This is my favorite ss. Crisp, articulate, great crack to it, completely versatile. A 'Classic' Ludwig Top-of-The-Line vintage snare drum. If you ever wanted to own one of these, trust me, this is the one!

Better yet... I'll let the photos do all the talking for me!

$300.00 - +shipping ($20.00)

This one will go fast. Someone will pull the trigger while you're thinking about it. PM me.

First come, first served...

John

KEVINS NICE SNAGG beautifull drum

April 2nd 1969 scarfed pink champagne holly wood and 65/66 downbeat snare, and , supra same year very minty kit old pies
66/67 downbeat with canister
Super 400 small round knob
1967 super classic obp

once the brass ceases to glitter, and the drum looses its luster, and the stage remains dark, all you have left is the timbre of family.

Hey John,

Do you have a webpage or something where we can check out your whole collection and be super jealous at once instead of in spurts every time we see some of the gems you post? I'm just askin'...BowingBowingBowing

LOL - Not a bad idea! I'm not a 'business.' I'm just a drummer who's been knocking around for 48 years and as a semi-retired person, I manage to generate a modest second income to supplement my pension by restoring/buying/selling/trading in vintage drums and gear. Some of the guys here know me for a couple of years and they will tell you... I never sell 'junk' I'm always fair in my pricing and I always deliver exactly what I described/offered.

I just buy well. I also take real good care of all the drums and equipment that passes through my hands, And, because "I-R-1-2" I also know what drummers like/love.

I have more 'stuff' coming up. I always have more stuff... Keep your eyes peeled. I do not sell on ebay or CL. You'll only see my stuff offered here. I invite you to ask anybody who has dealt/traded with me in the past what they thought of their dealings with me.

You can trade/deal with me in complete confidence.

More to come... guitar3

Lookin forward to the drum.

I've dealt with PurdieShuffle a number of times with great success.

Here's my Abalone covered SCs from him.... just can't get off them

Pretty sweet kit! All I know is that every time that I see a drum or whole kit that John posts, I'm impressed! I better check the for sale section 18 times a day so that I too can purchase a fine drum from John...possibly a transition badge COB Supra? I need one to match the '58 Ludwig kit I recently acquired...but just don't have quite enough fundage to purchase the matching COB....yet!

Got the snare today, and I now recall even more vividly why I regretted selling mine two years ago!

Super packing job and lightning shipping time!

Thanks, Purdie, for a great deal !!

Glad you're happy Kev.

I have a little surprise coming your way... I picked up a 12x8 6-ply luddy shell, concert set-up, top lugs only. It'll be easy to add a set of lugs on the bottom/reso side, the bearing edge is there.

I just finished wrapping it with a piece of the abalone and I put the badge back on. It will match the Abalone kit perfectly. After you add the bottom lugs, head and a hoop, you'll have a matching tom to complete the Super Classic kit I sold you. I'm not going to put a price on it because it is not something you asked me for, or purchased. I will ship it to you and you can either keep it for free, or, pay me whatever -you- think it's worth. No 'price', I just want to put the 12" 6-ply to good use and that kit was always missing the 12".

Look out for the drum, it'll be on its way shortly...
