From Purdie Shuffle

Glad you're happy Kev. I have a little surprise coming your way... I picked up a 12x8 6-ply luddy shell, concert set-up, top lugs only. It'll be easy to add a set of lugs on the bottom/reso side, the bearing edge is there. I just finished wrapping it with a piece of the abalone and I put the badge back on. It will match the Abalone kit perfectly. After you add the bottom lugs, head and a hoop, you'll have a matching tom to complete the Super Classic kit I sold you. I'm not going to put a price on it because it is not something you asked me for, or purchased. I will ship it to you and you can either keep it for free, or, pay me whatever -you- think it's worth. No 'price', I just want to put the 12" 6-ply to good use and that kit was always missing the 12".Look out for the drum, it'll be on its way shortly... John

Good stuff John!Cool1

I'm going to have to let my already white beard grow out and get myself a big red Santa suit! lol

Truth is, Kevin is a good guy. He really loves that kit as much as I did (do.) It's a good feeling to do it for him. It'll be fun to see the kit complete.

It's what the Hell are friends for anyway... Kiss

LOL - Is that you, you old-f*rt? We're 'same generation' my brother. Great shot, thanks for posting that. (You're a brave man! lol)

Alright then, Wheezer... here's a little teaser for you. It's packed and going out today. Tell Mark you'll need; 2-hoops, 6 classic lugs, and a dozen tension rods. I have lugs galore over here, so if Mark doesn't have them, or enough of them, get right back to me.

On the way, buddy!

John

PS - Just so you're not out there all by your lonesome... I had Bev take a shot of me hunkered down by some of my babies. See? Told you, same generation! grin

LOL - The reason my smile looks so weak is; I was in agony down there! I kept telling Bev, "Take the shot! I'm dying down here!" LoLoLoLo

Looks like it was Ken Keasey's sleigh you fell off of! lol

John

PS - for all those under 60... Ken Keasey had a psychedelic painted school bus full of hippies and college professors that went around the country in the mid-sixties freely giving people what they called, 'The Acid Test!' Yes, LSD.

If you want, or need, any more information about that; I will refer you to Aldous Huxley's, 'Doors Of Perception' and all of the Carlos Castaneda books about the Yaqui Shaman, Don Juan. You also might want to read some Baba Ram Dass! "Be Here Now," is a good place to start.

That'll fix ya! Get yer Mind free! Foreign concept these days...

LOL - Poor, iggernit yung-uns! So much they don't know.....
