Hi Folks,

Like John already spotted well, the previous owner altered the strainer and reamed the hole to add a conventional screw.

Can somebody help me with a replacement for this part?

PM me please !!!

Stedi - PM me your mailing information. I'll get one out to you tomorrow. No charge, glad to help a buddy get his drum together.

You are a wonderful person John,.. thanks.

Just sent you a PM.

By the way,... the good news is that the holes for the screws holding the snare guard are OK,... Replacement Allen screws are on the way. Also a new snare drum cam slide is ordered and on its route across The Atlantic.

You should have asked me first! I have a half dozen cam slides sitting in a box collecting dust!

The strainer connector arm will go out to you tomorrow. Here's a shot of it:

While you have me on the line and before I ship, is there anything else you need to complete the drum? Please don't hesitate to ask, glad to help a fellow drum-bum out.

I should have contacted you first John,.. shame on me.

Since the other stuff is on its way, the strainer connector arm is the only part missing to bring this great instrument back to 100% original.

Very, very nice snare. I recall having a '78 or '79 Ludwig catalog, that had engraved BB's in it. I'd love one of those! Love the B/O era. Nice photos.B

One of these?

You're most welcome John.

For bratwurst and sauerkraut you'd need to be at our eastern neighbors but for beer you're absolutely in the right place over here in Belgium,...

180 quality beer Breweries on a population like New York City,... need to say more ?!

Thanks again !
