So yesterday I get a package in the mail, (appears to look like a cymbal) so I'm thinking to myself, what did I buy? I thought and thought, could not remember anything I bought that I didn't get yet, so I went to open it and SUPRISE!!! a nice 17" "K" fast crash. what a nice suprise. however that is the first sign I'm buying too much, when you can't remember something is coming LOL!!!

LOL. Wish i had that dilemma!
... or you look at your monthly PayPal transactions, don't recognize a particular payment, get scared that you were a victim of fraud, think about starting a dispute with the PayPal Fraud Department and then realize you purchased a snare, which is still in a box under your workbench. :)
... or you frequently hear "When did you get this one?".

+1 for this!
I should just take pictures of all my snare drums, kits and hardware for all to see. I KNOW I have too much stuff. Is there a support group for this? Oh, wait, there is... it's called VDF!! LoLoLoLo

Package arrived for me three weeks ago. My wife called me at work and asked if she could open it, and I told her "absolutely not, it's your birthday present" I was certain it was the very expensive, custom-made wooden headjoint for her flute which I had ordered months ago. When I got home and opened it, I was totally surprised to find a set of Rogers bass claws and T-rods. Didn't even remember buying them on eBay.
A week later another package arrived (the headjoint for my wife), and after telling her again, "don't open it, it's your birthday present", I suddenly realized I was now committed to two birthday presents! (or admit to her that I'm buying more drum stuff than I can keep track of). She got two presents.
Honey, I paid off the paypal account, again. it was XXX.
Um, How did it get to be THAT?
Well, YOU told me to buy it? How else was I going to get it?
So, either I haven't been buying too much lately, or......... its so much she is losing track.

Bass player friend of mine solved the spousal oversight issue by only purchasing tobacco sunburst basses. I hadn't realized till then how many different tobacco sunburst basses in his hands.
