make me a decent offer. This came from Maxwell's and is dryer and a bit quiter than your typical screaming vintage A. Quick decay, nice ping over a dryer wash. 1965g . No cracks, dents, keyholes..etc... great shape with nice even patina... see pics. very bouncy stick! video is from my camcorder. mp3 from Maxwell's is available if you message me . sounds better. Just so you know i bought it for $375. trying to be honest here... so i can't take a huge loss if you are trying to lowball

Man, if I hadn't bought so much stuff lately, I'd be all over this one! Great sounding pies like this one are few and far in-between. The Jazz guys are going to love this one! Dark, 'K' like quality to the sound.

I've never been a huge fan of sizzle cymbals. As far as I'm concerned they are one-trick-pony's and have limited application. If they were both mine, the 20" A would be the keeper. It's not only a great sounding cymbal, it's the more versatile of the two.

Yep.. he was known as "the fastest drummer in the world" before buddy took that title. He was louis armstrongs drummer for a while and referred to by louis as "the kid". He said that guy plays so fast he can make coffee nervous

Barrett used to haunt Joe Segall's Jazz Showcase quite a bit back in the 80's when I'd go there. In 1986 I went to see Tony Williams there and during a quiet passage in a song you could hear Barrett loudly say "that bass drum's too damn loud". Same year Louis Bellson did a clinic at GC in Chicago and Barrett showed up and played in the multi drummer "duel" that ensued. He was on fire that night.

Nice cymbal. Wonder if it's the one he used recording the Louis Armstrong / WC Handy record with? There's a dry sounding ride on that in some spots.
