Here's another one I felt many of you would be interested in seeing. I came upon the link over at DFO and wanted to share it with those of us who may not frequent that website.

An incredible offering! Go to item number 131668988086 or just search "1967 complete rogers"

Pretty cool! Posting a picture of the boxes.

I would love to read Ploughman's thoughts on this regarding value, listing price, etc. :)

Despite the shipping boxes, the seller is quite clear that this is not NOS. This set had been played for a few years before being re-boxed, so it is still just another used set albeit a very nice, clean, complete used set. I'll be very curious to see if it goes for that starting bid. It very well may, as those Zildjians add considerable value.

This was being discussed on other forums. From what I see, it's a VERY common finish and the boxes are....well, just boxes once they have been opened. If they were unopened and/or unplayed, that would be a different story, I think. That's just me but that opening price seems insane for such a common used Rogers set. Just my two cents and I hope the seller does well.

Good points! However, on the other side of the fence....where can you find another in this condition, with the boxes? Those aren't just boxes. They're the original Rogers shipping boxes! I would think that add's at least another 10%.

It's truly a time capsule, unlike anything the vintage community has ever seen!

Used 1-2 years and put back into the original boxes for 46 years!

Wow!Jumping2

Sure, the price is high, but I guess he's testing the waters.

I sure would like to have them!Excited

They are not just Rogers shipping boxes. Look closely, they were labeled from the music store in Covington owned by Biddy Etter and Joe Thompson. Yes, that Joe Thompson.
