60's Rogers kit with original boxes on eBay! Last viewed: 2 minutes ago

Loading...

Well, after some negotiation, and a 6 hour road trip, I'm quite happy to say that this kit is in my possession.

Quite a story with these. They are everything as proported. Boxes, labels, drums, cymbals, and stands, sticks, brushes, cowbell, woodblock, and key!

They need a cleaning, after sitting in that closet for the last 46 years, but what an amazing find. I'm proud to have chased them down, and was lucky to be the first call.

Pics coming soon!

Wow congrats! Those are sweet drums! Blue glitter looks stunning. Cool history with the boxes and all. Just don't pack stuff for the attic in them. My wife would. :D

Just got home with these drums and spent the last hour+ slowing unpacking them and setting them up.

It feels as though they haven't been set up in nearly 50 years, because they haven't! A feeling like nothing I've experienced before.

I am going to start a new thread about these because I am looking for input from the Rogers experts. Right now, I am not touching these. They are what I would call Factory Original. Whereas, they are as they left the Dayton plant in 1966. The heads have never been off any of the drums. Therefore, I feel I should leave them just like that.

Or, do I clean them up?

Stunning set you have there .

Warning ... Avoid member statuscymbal here, vintage_collector on DFO , and americanpatriot10 on eBay. Email me for his name. All are the same shady guy who has burned me and a list of other members on both boards . He is also selling on Facebook too ..
