'60s Wooden Dynasonic missing its paper tag. Last viewed: 55 minutes ago

I'm getting ready to sell my mid-'60s wooden Dynasonic that's in extremely good condition. The one problem with it is that it's missing the ubiquitous Rogers paper tag. How much do you think this devalues the drum? It really is a stellar specimen, and I'd like to get what I have in it, which is $2100.

What do you guys think?

Thanks.

Are you absolutely certain your Dyna had a paper tag? Can you provide some pictures of the drum? Only the very early Dynasonics had paper tags and they disappeared when the oval "Dynasonic" badge was ready. Also, the drum would have "Bread and Butter" lugs and the Clock-face strainer. Pictures would definitely help!

Thanks Mark. I didn't realize that only early Dynas had paper tags. It doesn't look like it ever had a tag; that's why it was kind of a mystery to me. It has a lacquered interior finish. I will post pictures tomorrow.

That's why I have 'student' in my sig instead of the guru moniker that was given me.

Thanks again.

Stephen,

Just curious, but what is the finish of your snare?

The closest guess I have is sort of a darkened champagne glitter When I post pics tomorrow, you can see what you think. It's a nice color, but I get the feeling it's either faded from a darker color, or darkened from a lighter color.

Thanks for the response.

Thanks Glenn. The drum has served me well. I've recorded with it quite a bit, and I've put it to good use. Time to pass it on. It's a collector quality player drum. I still have no idea what color to call it. Anyone have suggestions?
