From johnnyringo

I sent you a pm about a possible trade, I haven't heard anything, did you change your mind?

Sorry I have been out of town for most of last week and have some house guests over. Let me wait until the dust settles and I will let you know for sure! Just to be sure you know the wrap does have some issues.

I know about the wrap, I'm not that concerned about it, I'm not a collector, I just wanted bigger sizes. Take your time, no rush, thanks.

Monday morning bump. Any interest out there? Not that I need to sell the kit but I have been looking at some BDP and Champagne sparkle kits.

That is a beautiful kit, no if, ands or buts about it. It is highly unfortunate that Rogers had so much trouble with the wraps cracking, but I do believe it was a matter of applying a very strong adhesive that didn't allow it to give at all. Try removing the wrap off one of them sometime!

Slingerland used wrap similar to oynxs and Ludwig used wraps similar to stratas, but without nearly as much trouble as the Rogers sets have had.

Nevertheless, you have a '68 (my favorite year) Buddy Rich Celebrity in a great color. Catalogs depict the Celebrity as a 22,13,16 for quite a few years - early '60's to early 70's. Check out the vintage drum guide link on this site and you'll see that in the Rogers catalogs. And yes, it seems Buddy Rich generally used a 24-inch bass drum and twin 16" floor toms. But Rogers was an expensive set even in 22,13,16 format, never mind a larger bass and an extra floor tom!
