A FIBES bop kit... Last viewed: 6 hours ago

Loading...

This beautiful aqua sparkle bop kit is from the Austin era of FIBES Drum Company circa 1997. The jazz kit is installed with a W&A rail mount to give it that vintage vibe.

The shells are Jasper maple in 18/12/14 with a matching STS 13x5 snare drum and yes they sound amazing.

Funny how aqua sparkle kits is no longer in style soooo maybe one day down the road this FIBES bop kit will be seek out by collectors/players because of it's sizes and color?

Now that is something nice. And thank your spouse for allowing you to take pictures on the bathroom counter - the lighting in great!

I'd love to seek that kit out. Awesome. And yes your bathroom counter seems to be a nice place for photos!

Hahaha... amosguy my counter top in the photo is a built-in desk in my spare bedroom. That is one of two good locations in my house to photograph drum sets and since most of my collection are little tiny bop kits they pretty much fit just right.

Attached is a better view of my space...

Go figure, I thought that was just a really small stage. :)

Fibes kit is overly cool. Interesting to find out they were still producing in the late 90's.

The tom mount looks like a Slingerland.

Thanks everybody... yes, that's a Slingerland rail mount. I had it installed (by my request) when I got them. My only draw back about this bop kit is; I wish, I had ordered them in a natural maple wood finish instead of aqua sparkle.

Do any of those kits ever get played, or are they just window displays?

I have always had a soft spot only heart for Fibes as Cobham played them . The lugs always remind me of these .
