wayne - how long ago did you send the $? If it's recent, I wouldn't hit the panic button just yet. Give the man a chance to fulfill your order. As for the guys who have been waiting for months, maybe time to chalk it up to a bad-lesson learned.

Mikey is a little slow but he came thru for me several times. And he did say he was moving, you know how that goes.
Thank you!

Every five months, we should all just take turns starting a thread on our bud Mikey. It doesn't have to be true or even serious. I have a feeling that when he finally gets settled and the threads stop, we won't know what to do with ourselves.
I would agree, it would be nice to receive a status e-mail from Mikey777. I'm also waiting on an order.
He did post a "global" status on this thread: http://www.vintagedrumforum.com/showthread.php?t=36894
His last post to any thread was on 3/31/2013 (same date as his status).
Hopefully this is useful to those that are also waiting.
Paging Mikey777. Paging Mikey777. Please pickup the white courtesy phone. :-)

Yeah yeah yeah - old news.....several threads/posts about Mikey and his struggle to keep up with his business.
Mikey has always been this way.....as most of us would struggle given his circumstances. Read the post he threw up here recently and you might understand - then practice the golden rule. Trust Mikey - he gets behind and that sucks -
At the same time, remember that Mikey is a HUGE resource of knowledge on this site and while slow to fill his orders, when he does so, it is top notch packaging and you WILL eventually get your goods - which I might remind you - may be so rare that Mikey is your only chance at finding it.
I have had to deal with Mikey's slow timing in the past, but have found a great friend and resource at the end of the rainbow - not to mention that I feel good about treating him as I would like to be treated.
My say is to trust Mikey and he will come through with your hard to find parts. His recent move must really be taxing him. After learning on here about his HUGE inventory and HUGE amount of STUFF in general (huge house and huge warehouse) then I can totally see how he gets behind.......but how many times will I have to say - trust him - he will get caught up and you will get your goods.
While he is slow - know and trust that he is a stand up class act in every other way.

i say this i was standing in my warehouse a month ago and was almost on the verge of crying i was so overwhelmed with having to move and alone on top of it the drum stuff alone was to much to handle, i imagined parts getting buried in boxes with no labels, lost than found again months later so i can feel for anyone going through this. but i caved and sold it all so i did not have to move it. im sure it will a sort it 's self out with time it mite take a year to go through it all with a move of mikey's size, good luck to all and remember about casting the first stone

once the brass ceases to glitter, and the drum looses its luster, and the stage remains dark, all you have left is the timbre of family.
If the man had been UP FRONT about his situation, had good communication skills, and respected his customers enuf to maybe not take any orders till he was more capable of dealing with them..................
...........maybe he would warrant some consideration and maybe this thread would have never started.
........but NONE of those things happened and now we are here.
With all due respect to those who have stood up for the guy, we are not the first to be goin thru this with him. It's his way.
Not good enuf.
I don't have a year to wait for those parts and I could have gotten them some where else had I known.

Holliwood mate i FEEL your pain! :(, i too was conned ripped off&scammed BUT thankfully NOT off here. It's on fee/prey bay nearly 4 yrs ago i was looking for a "Vintage" Ludwig kit i couldnt've&didn't care about colour or sizes.I found a double mod orange late 60s kit , liked the pics emailed the seller &paid&sent him a deposit for $840AUD.2 days after finding out that the seller was bogus(as well as his address)! :(.I put ina dispute with fee/prey bay BUT BECAUSE i paid him OUTSIDE fee/prey bay (he insisted on Money Gramm) legally as far as they're concerned it's was "tough luck buddy".The Bottom line/moral of this story?, number one:CHECK&RE-CHECK sellers feedback!, number 2:NEVER pay outside of Paypal((i call them fee/prey NOT your "Pal").I've just recently bought a '74 "black label" Paiste Giant Beat 24" ride off Giant Beater off here&have NO ****ING WORRIES dealing with him at all or anyone else off here.BUT i'll ALWAYS do my homework btw the **** who conned/ripped me off/scammed me was "Richard Miller" from 'Indianna" ! :(.
Why someone who is living nearby doesn't pay him a visit?
