Thanks Glenn and Wayne, I do want to keep the floor tom as I do play 2 up 2 down on my Zebra kit and 1 up two down on my Slingerland and Fibes kits. Those kits have 16" and 18" floor toms. The Educators are both 16" but I know some guys have that set up. I think Buddy Rich was one of them. So, I will just have to think about it. I did offer the floor tom to a member here so if he wants it and agrees to a price it will be his, if not then I will probably hold on to it.

I have 16 lugs so far, I need 22 more to change out the entire kit excluding the second floor tom. So if anyone has some decent decent ones for a good price pm me please.

Thank you!

That is truly a labor of love- the worlds most pristine set of, for all practical purposes, unplayable drums. I salute you!

Hey Jeff - VERY cool! I have not seen those ever before (even vintage drum 'gurus' can still learn!)

Changing out some lugs so you can play them. Confused by this. I can see changing out lugs so you can crank the heads to high heaven - but surely they are playable as made. Do they not stay in tune or something?

If it is not too much trouble, can you show us some pics of these plastic lugs (from all angles) Never seen those before.

One more thing - seems you would want to keep the FT with the close serial to the snare, right?

Thanks - very cool!

I had a great day! Instead of sleeping in and wasting the day, I got up at 8 and I had all my slacking done by noon!

JEFF! High five, buddy! I was just getting ready to email and find out if you were able to put that deal together. Brilliant job! Can I get some close up pictures of the new ones (or whatever you have) for the 'B' line facts that I'll eventually finish.

Wow... looking at the pictures... wow. Coolness just drips off those.

What makes those unplayable is the plastic lugs. Forty year old plastic just won't stand up to much of anything.

Congratulations Jeff!

Craig
