anybody see Blodwyn Pig? Last viewed: 3 hours ago

Did anybody out there ever see them?.They did a reunion tour in the 90's and recorded some of it.Clive Bunker played drums rather than Ron Berg and did his famous drum solo which sounds great to this day.Just wondering..V

I haven't heard of Clive Bunker since he played with Tull. Great drummer. I'll have to check them out thanks.

I saw them at the Fillmore East with Chicago in 69 I think.Good band.

Steve - Hey brother, we might have been in the same pot shrouded audience at the old Filmore East! I saw these guys twice, live. Both times at the Filmore. Although I don't recall if Chicago was also on the bill. The Filmore used to book 4-5-6 bands in one night sometimes. But I'd like to think we were both there on the same night all those many years ago.

Didn't notice for a while.

Those dudes were real good

Had a hit on FM radio here in LA.

"Dear Jill"

Mick Abrahms of Tull formed that band I think after leaving Tull.

Clive Bunker was real good..to me. as a kid.

Still is.

Anything in 5's is going to have that real strong forward momentum. 1.2.3. >4 >5. Those last two beats -push- the music. A blues guy taught me a bunch of stuff/grooves in 5. You don't get to use it often, but when it does come up, it's a gas to play. What blows my mind is; you can get that same -driving- feeling/effect from playing straight ahead 4/4 just by hitting the 'one' slightly behind/off the beat! Ala Freddy King's 'Going Down.' Let's the drummer drive the band from behind, makes the music sound HEAVY, like a freight train is barreling down the tracks. Fun stuff, really good musicians in B-Pig.

Absolutely,

It is hard to listen to a guy who always pushes 1.

I watched the wave forms on the grid while a great bass player was recording.

All of 1's were after 1 on the grid. Milliseconds.

I asked him about it and he said that's the way it sounds best to create that good bass groove.

And he be right.

I used to rush when I was younger.

Thus the comments.
