I may have posted some of these last year. I still haven't found out what brand name - if any - this is.
Anyone seen this hardware before?

Hey Gary,
I haven't a clue. I love the wrap, though. Interesting how the re-inforcing "rings" go vertical (for the lugs) instead of horizontal.
Ya - I love that ole wrap as well.
I don't know if this is a rare puppy - if I should buy it - or if it is something to leave where it is = right now it's used as a 'bucket' and a place to pile and store stuff in a junk store. I could buy it for $100 or so.
It could be a Hollywood by Meazzi drum.

The 3rd paragraph down talks about this type of lug and tension rod configuration.
The tom mount looks like a star type mount I have on a crown kit from the 60's.
just my :2Cents: tom
That drum just ooooozes cool. Those lugs ... those T's ... that wrap ... the interior construction ... THAT HEAD!!!
Man oh man
Not worth $100, imho....
Really!
I got to go back into that ole junk store to maybe rescue that drum later today.
I just got a reply from Chet and it is not a Meazzi.
I say go in there and educate them that "typical old foreign drums" go for only 100-150 for the entire kit. Then, offer them 60 and point out that they can by a nice replacement basket for 60!
Then you could be on your way to building a orphanage kit, as it is probably quite difficult if not impossible to find matching drums for that. That's the drag part of it. Orphan kits are cool too.....

Go back and tell them you found out its a Japanese knockoff and offer $40, then settle on $50. If its used as a bucket chances are they'll take it. How big is it btw?
It -is- a Japanese knock-off! I've never seen the lugs before, but I've seen a thousand drums made from vertical grain Luan... they were all asian made. It's a 50's/60's MIJ, company name unknown. It's well constructed. $100 is about right for that one.
