to resurrect a trashed drum is very costly, not just in parts etc, but man hours so to buy it right is key here and no doubt a great kit when restored and some extras to sell to recoup some revenue good luck. i saw this kit and if it was obp id of been all over it ....

April 2nd 1969 scarfed pink champagne holly wood and 65/66 downbeat snare, and , supra same year very minty kit old pies
66/67 downbeat with canister
Super 400 small round knob
1967 super classic obp

once the brass ceases to glitter, and the drum looses its luster, and the stage remains dark, all you have left is the timbre of family.

there's a lot of drums there. lots of potential. if they were local to me, 300 would be my top figure. it would be really rewarding to give them a fresh breath of life. do you have the time to do it though?

I see what looks like black mold, ply separation, cracked re-rings, BD hoops cracked, out of round and lots of missing parts. You might be able to salvage enough parts for a 3 piece. $100.

Personally, I'd pass.

i've seen them too...as well as the other so-cal drum hounds who run in the same circles. all aggree they are not worth what he's asking and need ALOOOOOOOT of love.

but we all wanna save'em too. for the time and money spend to try and fix them, you wouldn't get that back in the flip. $200. would be generous.

Wow, I'm totally into saving them, but agreed 500 is a lot. These definitely make me feel a lot better about some of my more trashy drums.
