That strainer looks like the 2 hole version of a leedy speedway strainer.

http://www.coopersvintagedrums.com/leedystrainers.htm

The shell and hoops match the top picture in the link which is listed as a reliance model. The lugs and clips are different however. Perhaps it is part leedy part something else?

Wow that is very close, but I`m not see`n a knob on the throw arm like the leedy, look at the photo of the strainer in the pile of cleanning with the lugs, that looks like a rivit instead of a knob. But that could be a repair, or the knob broken off I don`t know. You might have it though cuz it`s really close and I don`t see any other differences !!

How many hole are on the bottom of the leedy ?

The only thing I`d like to add is back then, Link and Ludwig lived thirty miles apart in Germany, and there`s strong evidence that they met often !!

Haven't seen one like that...Looks European, maybe Jedsen (UK) as the strainer looks like that...did you strip it down to the brass? Looks like the black lacquer was original.

It`s not my drum, but the collector on another site was showing it and I was try`n to figure out if it was Sonor too . I believbe he stripped it !!

Sonor has a version in the 29 Cat. that resembles the engrave era BB, that version is Gold and Gunmetal finnish. (fab) That version has a stick throw just like this too but I can`t blow up the pic. enough to see it close !!
