Wow Troutstudio, that sounds great ! Band is wonderful. Video looks good too, even with the two lost girls wandering in, and the lost guy looking for someone. I am curious as to the audio recording. Was this a board mix recording and remixed and synced with the video, or recorded out front ? Please do tell your procedure.

The video was shot on 2 iPads by friends of the band. The bass player Guy is a engineer. He does a lot of live videos of acts who need a quick promo. For those he hires a cameraman and camera. He records direct into a Yamaha HD 24, using splits and in our case, I also brought along a drum mic pack. So he ends up with well recorded dry tracks. Level is critical here. At home he uses Protools and Final Cut Pro to sync it up. He's pretty old school and really doesn't use a lot of eq or fx. Or patching up. Just gets a good balance. These videos have meant some much better gigs for us.
He did a good job. I thought the mix and sound was excellent. I am a firm believer of not over saturating tracks with efx. The iPads have amazing quality. I am using mine now and have never really used the video function much. Mine is a Ipad2. My camera is not that great but my wife has a new mini iPad and hers takes much better pics than mine. Her video quality may be much better too.
