Wow Mike! I know a guy who you bought a Peacock Pearl Ludwig snare from about 10 years ago or so, we joke it about it all the time as I still collect gear here and there but he's since totally out. I think it might be in that group of 4 emerald pearl looking snares, but aren't peakcock pearl wraps kind of lavender in color? I'd hate to see your insurance bill too! :)Thanks for posting those pictures...

Here's some Peacock Pearl...

My girlfriend totally supports my addiction! In fact, it was her decision to make a "drum room" at her house! Currently, we have over 30 snare drums on display, along with 3 complete kits (of 7!) set up, not to mention all the pictures, shirts, drumsticks, etc, etc. She even made a video, which I need to post!

Im have 64 sets right now and working at this moment on funding set number: 65. I don't have the room at home so I have most of them on a storage place. That's really sad not to be able to have em here with me but who knows?...Maybe someday Ill have the money to build a second floor on top of my garage. I've been playing the Bonham Amber Vistalite reissue for more than a year now and I just don't see a reason to switch to another set. They're LOUD!

My favorite line "My wife doesn't know what I paid for it yet. I said 'a few thousand' and she thought it meant $2000 and went off at me. I don't know how I'm going to explain that it was actually $16,000..."Hurting
