I have a 1979-1980 Engraved Black Beauty. 6.5 x 14, Super sensitive.

Original Heads, hoops, and key.

Top head has been struck 8 times or so, and I must have been loonie in the 80's cause I filled in the little spots w/ white out. Haha.

Seriously, aside from that this drum has not been played.

Always stored in climate controlled house.

Mint. Period.

Will load/send/txt pics if interested.

Not sure what to ask, but I aint giving it away.

Saw one on fleabay 18 mos ago $4995.00; a non-engraved example a week ago was $3995.

Thanks,

Mark

As a side note, got a single 1990 Rock Tour Custom 18x26 (yes 18x26) kick

Cobalt Blue. If your inner bonzo tells ya so, ill take $1300. Otherwise it matches its twin just fine.

You may want to recheck the completed e-bay auctions again for B/O Black Beauties, to set your expectations.

I didn't research completed auctions, and may be a bit off base.

That's a reason I came here. Exposure and an educated group.

Thanks.

I didn't know there were engraved BB from that time period, learn something everyday on VDF. I watch BB on ebay because I have one, last non-engraved one just sold for 1,500 and that was one of the higher prices I've seen lately.

Post a few photos of the drum here when you get a chance. That should help narrow down the time period the drum was made.
