It's hoop rash where a foot pedal hooks up to, there's going to be hoop rash, did he say they had never been played, right out of the box? I find this whole thing ridiculous, ask him for a $300 to more than compensate for the minor issues and enjoy this kit. Get over yourself, "I play nice gear", it's still nice gear! People make mistakes, he made one by not disclosing the rash and you made one by paying with the gift option. You can still win without stressing yourself out over such minor issues. Worst case senerio, you keep the kit, get a $300 refund and re-sell for $1,300. Kleening
you seem a little more stressed about it than I am - but that's ok...you're entitled to be. I don't feel I need to explain any further - you can go back and look at the pictures of the bass drum shell if you want - looks mint doesn't it??
