Still no answer from the seller. Based on what other items he has for sale he seem to be a young kid and maybe still in school. So I hope to hear something by 3:00 pm or so.

Same thing happened when i got my 73' Ludwig classic for only $70 ( Which I'm still restoring). No answer for 2 days then we connected, and this guy had listed as Vintage Ludwig. He could have gone away for the weekend who knows, but offering him $100 straight out would have not made a difference. He would have counter with $100 or so.

So here I'm patiently waiting Jump For Joy

This whole approach stinks. You offered $90, when it's obviously worth more. Seller rejects and sells for $100. You double-cross the poor buyer and offer $120 after the deal was done. Seller does a disservice to the buyer by backing out of the deal (I'd be ****ed) and accepts more money from you. Give me the seller's contact info and I'll bid $120.01.

Ehh...this transaction reeks!! :)

hehehe too late LarryZ Sorry. That kit is in my garage now !!

Anyway I was able to get my hand on it yesterday. When I noticed the ad the seller had already found a buyer, hence he was not responding. However in between the original buyer and my offer the buyer backed up because he did not have a car to pick up the kit so the seller offered to deliver it to him last nite. ( He really wanted to get rid of the kit)

When I made the offer and later he responded I asked how much he sold it for. He replied $100 and that he was going to deliver it. At that point, based on the valuable feed back from the member of this forum, ( very grateful to you all by the way) I made a last ditch effort... $ 120 and I will pick up. I guess the seller liked that better.

It is a great deal but this kit need a lot of TLC.

First the snare is a Pearl Forum ( not that valuable)

The snare stand is a broken Yahama

The Swivo-MaticTom mount suffer from the typical issue with the Collect nose spreading ( will need to make new machined one like the early Swivo)

One spur on the Bass drum is missing ( not too bad I can make one)

all toms are missing the bottom rim and there are dings on the leading edge requiring recutting ( I can do it with my routing table)

The hi-hat is in original decent shape and as a surprise I have zildjan

and I love the ghost pedal, that alone is worth $50 easy

The kit looks to be a londoner ffron 1973 based on the label inside the shells.

I'm posting some pictures; not the best but wanted to give you a sense of what I got.

UHmm the token is missing and would not let me load the picture.

I'll ttry on a different post

1973 Fullertons. With a bit of work on the rusting and pitting, re-cutting the bearing edges, and acquiring the missing hardware, you'd have a nice player set there. 22-13-14-18FT, correct? Odd that those tom sizes wouldn't have been paired with a 24" bass.

Good luck on the restoration, or if you want to save yourself all that time and work, you can just sell the four drums to me for $240 and double your money;).

Nice acquisition regardless of the somewhat convoluted dealings with the seller.
