I was all rearing to go. There was a silver sparkle Jazz Festival on craigslist, and I called the guy *right after* the ad was posted. It was my lucky day. I told the guy that it would take 20 minutes for me to stop by the bank and get to his house. "See you in 20 minutes!" he said.

I got there 18 minutes later, and he said somebody else called right after me and got there right before me...WTF!?!?!?! UGH!!! To this day, I still wonder if it really happened like that, or if the dude was playing a cruel joke...

I still managed to spend the $500, as the story continues, I spotted a 70 Sling set, beautiful, price was marked $600, toms 12/13/14/15 16 floor 22" bass, all white, I offered the guy $400, he passed, I had a friend there who had a booth, I told him, if that set is still around late in the day, offer him $500 and picked it up for me, sure enough, I got the call that night, I pick up the set later this week, now I have to figure out where to hide it from my wife. LOL...........

I like late 60's Ludwigs. I also like wmp when it looks white. I know some people love yellow WMP but it reminds me of smoke and I love the look of fresh white wmp.

I saw a set of 1969 Ludwigs listed, 22,13,16 supra PLUS it had a bunch of extra WMP 70's toms, cymbals, hardware and cases for $1000.00. The WMP on the 69's was as white as I'd ever seen and I called the guy. He was at least an hour from me and I arrainged to go get the drums. Of coarse we had a rediculous snow storm brewing and I asked the guy if I could come the next day and would he hold them for me. He said yes and told me to call before I left....

He must have sold them that day because I tried several times to call him and he never answered or called back. I figured with the cymbals, extra toms and other stuff I could have gotten most of my money back and had a sweet set of 69 Ludwigs super classics. Oh well, not meant to be....

Thats why I ask if they take P/P..........

If they do,send the $$ as "Purchase" >(adding on the 3.2% they will lose on fees),and hopefully they will keep their word, and hold them for you till you pick up.
