Cannister throne height? Last viewed: 6 hours ago

Loading...

Guys...i'm building a cannister throne to match my Gretsch Blue Sparkle Set.

I'm using a 12 inch wide plastic cannister as the base.

But How high should the base be without the seat? What length?

many thanks for any help!

If I was making my own I would be less concerned about accuracy and more concerned on the actual height my usual throne sits, just a thought

I believe my Rogers canister thrones are 24" in height. That may be too high for some folks, however it feels just right for me (at 6'2").

Since you are building a throne, I would go to whatever height you are comfortable.

I agree that you should make the throne with its seat on top to a height that is comfortable to you. I have a vintage throne that is three inches taller than a custom made throne that is much more comfortable. I rarely use the taller vintage throne. Also.....just a little nit picking......If you are going to use a CANISTER throne, please spell it correctly with only one "N".

No matter how far you push the envelope, it is still stationery.

I think Slingerland's "Pack All" thrones where 23", but it really should depend on what you want seeing you're building it I assume to use.

I have gone back to using a canister throne. I found that the standard vintage 24" throne is a perfect height for me. I also like the way it sits - gives me more range of motion on the legs.

Thrones are 24" high end to end and 13" across..The times that i have made them i used a new wood shell 9 ply 13" across and 21" long..The seat added 3" to that makeing the throne a total of 24" like S/L,Ludwig.ete...Mikey
