i am so excited (don't take much to excite me) i just purchased a MIT Rockers snare from our buddy here Billnvick (thanks Bill) and can't wait for it to get here, did i mention i'm excited? lol. anyway made the purchase to replace the snare that came with the MIT kit i have, the story i got on the original snare was " somebody dropped it down the stairs while moving the kit to the basement to the bandroom " from the damage it does look possible and my nephew is a pretty honest kid so i guess i'll take his word on it.

anyway, did i mention i am excited and can't wait to recive this snare and add it to it's new family.

i know...it's just a taiwan kit with no value, but to me...no one can touch the value this kit means to me.

thanks for listening to my silliness.

ps, hey bill, you didn't happen to put same or next day delivery on that snare? (jk) hey can't blame a girl for trying. lol

Good, I think we should all have pictures of ourselves. I have seen pics of a few guys and its nice to put a face to the text sort of speak.

Here is a pic of me grinding paint off a hoop for my xp8 kit using my Festool sander. Il try and get one of me and my drums sometime.

i agree, i like to put a face to a name too, i remember people by face way better then by name. i've been kinda looking at different profiles here to kinda "get to know" you guys, sorta speak, but there's alot who don't have much in their profile, which is ok i understand that.

anyway thanks for sharing your photo and will be looking forward to seeing you with your drums.

oh and yeah, i guess i may be a tad bit EXCITED. Excited woohoo!

I hope that you never lose your enthusiasm for what is obviously a joyous part of your life! I collect old Stars and actually play with a kit which is very special to me. Sure, I know my old drums are not worth a lot compared to what some others have but, I don't really care. As you said, "No one can touch the value this kit means to me". Robyn, "Sing like there is nobody listening. Dance like there is nobody watching". May you continue to be excited about what is important to you!

Robyn, you are a breath of fresh air in a group of old and musty codgers. Love for the vintage drums and the art of drumming is what this place has been about. I'm glad you joined our ranks (some ranker than others).

I would love to post a pic of my jamming but the nine ex-wives may run across it and file for past due alimony. Plus, the witness protection program specifically prohibits such a thing. The real clincher however, is that whole episode in Vegas about 7 years ago, and the statute of limitations has not expired yet...............Toilet
