I stopped selling here after being harassed by Johnnyringo about price for a kit that actually sold for more than i was asking here. I don;t need that kind of aggravation trying to sell stuff here.well, I have met some unfortunate financial circumstances and need to sell close to all my collection.I would like to list stuff for sale here but not if I am going to be harassed again. What is the climate here these days for selling? Are people controlling themselves and respecting others sales? or still pulling the "your price is too high" BS?

Hick,

Johnny Ringo was the antagonist in Tombstone and the same name here has on occasion been the same. Consider yourself Wyatt Earp and I'm your Doc Holiday......post away and be darned the naysayers.

Its better to have people think you're an idiot, than to open your mouth and prove them wrong, unless you doubt yourself then speak away....

All in all, your safe here. There is a bottom element in any community that is self-serving. I would rather deal here than in a pooder-infested jungle.

The old maxim, "the devil you know is easier to deal with than the one you don't" applies. Fortunately, there are so few devils here that life is really good! That is not to say there won't be a few tests from time to time...

A lot of guys here have your back and want to offer knowledge, respect and dignity to individuals and the community.

A recent post I put out on a recently acquired Gretsch kit needing a champagne re-wrap was so well handled.

A kind VDF member even sent me some vintage champagne sparkle wrap "free" gratis. Never had to ask for it, he just offered. It's family hear with only a few minor bullies that are more fearful than anything. Push back when the bully appears and he'll leave you alone.

Bless you all,

-kellyj

Thanks guys.

For the record, I don't mind people contacting me in private about prices, with offers etc, though some prices will remain firm. The for sale threads however are not the place for it.

Nice Job Tommy P on pulling the trigger on that nasty post for a vintage wood Dynasonic on CL in Toronto!

Scammers beware of Tommy P and his trusty trigger finger :)

You know that finger that pushes that button is part of the same wicked hands doing all those Buddy licks, so you know it's FAST and DEADLY!

i for one think that its all relative when it comes to price you can buy something and it is usually is not as quite described close but every one thinks there stuff is better,i bought from Ben a snare and the price was real fair when i got it, i was is awe it looked and sounds new he really go's to the 9's with his items and i think he's one of the best he describes his stuff and when you get it its above and beyond great packaging, the snare i bought is one of the best drums in my arsenal thanks again Ben for a great deal.....and .Welcome back

April 2nd 1969 scarfed pink champagne holly wood and 65/66 downbeat snare, and , supra same year very minty kit old pies
66/67 downbeat with canister
Super 400 small round knob
1967 super classic obp

once the brass ceases to glitter, and the drum looses its luster, and the stage remains dark, all you have left is the timbre of family.

Ben - I never knew you were gone and that you let Johnnyringo run you off the reservation. Ignore him. If he posts -anything negative- to your for sale threads, or screws around with you in any way, just notify the powers that be, the mods will simply delete it. If that guy (and a couple of others,) don't get their act together, the mods will eventually delete -them-! Sell your stuff in peace. Whoever messes with you has to go through me first.

Sorry to hear you have to sell off some gear. Hope the sales are successful and that you get whatever is motivating you to do this, resolved in your favor.

I remain... your friend,

John

Too many great drums to list here!
