Fair price for this Ludwig 70's four piece kit. Last viewed: 2 hours ago

I have an opportunity to purchase a four piece Ludwig kit in the bowling ball oyster blue pearl. 22, 12, 13, 16. Wrap seems to be in decent shape but has some dings and dents and the rims have some light rust. I am curious what you guys think a fair price would be. I have now had two of these oyster blue kits and loved both of them. I always seem to be a sucker for this finish, but I seem to be in the minority. I was thinking in the $500 range. There is a slight crack in one of the re-rings inside the bass drum. What say you?

My favorite of the Ludwig wraps. I've seen these go close to $1,000 on a good day. I'm thinking $600-700 with the crack issue. I think Manny here on VDF was selling his 3 piece w/identical wrap recently as well..

A guy in Delaware was selling the exact kit a few months back. I had passed a couple emails back and forth, he wanted $1000 firm for them, even before I looked at them! I let him keep them, although I love the wrap!

I'd say you're in the ball park at $500 noting the re-ring damage, and anything else you find.

Good Luck!

If I could get these for 800$ I'd pull the trigger now.

The re-ring crack looks like a non-issue to me. Those 3ply shells with clear interiors are thought to be the best by many drummers. I'd be surprised if the seller let them go for $500..........marko
