So this was a guitar center offering? I didn't think you could bargain with them to that extent.

I see one of the same kits on GC's used site right now, listed at 1700 bucks!

This was one of those vague Guitar Center listings that did not make it clear what it really was and there was no picture. If this kit was run through the vintage team they would be asking some ridiculous number like $1499. For every 50 overpriced Guitar Center vintage drum listings, there is one reasonable, or in this case really good deal. What is amazing is that they probably only paid around $150 to the person who brought it in.

There's a guy here in Montreal selling a 6 piece kit in a 12-13-16-22 with an extra 14" rack tom for $2800..He had it at over 3K for months now and just recently lowered his price.. Looks like he's gonna keep on lowering it..

With that extra 14", he's going to have a hard time selling it, as no young drummer, or vintage enthusiast here in Montreal wants a vintage Ludwig kit with an extra suspended 14" rack.. I should know because i know most of the vintage drum guys up here, and i only know of 1 or 2 who'd probably give it a second look if the price was right.. As it stands, and as Adam Sandler said to Bob Barker in the movie "Happy Gilmore"--

The price is WRONG, b-tch !! Lol ! :D
