Not the oldest or the rarest, but the one crash that has the perfect sound for you. Mine is a standard 80's 18" A.Zildjian Medium Thin Crash.
My one cymbal I compare all others to. Exceptional sound.

Tie between the one Keith moon hits five hundred times in Teenage Wasteland and the one Stephen Adler uses on paradise city. They both epitomize what a rock and roll crash should sound like to me.
I once sat in on a guys 60s blue sparkle Ludwig kit. He had an 18" old Turkish K that I tried to talk him out of but had no luck in doing. It sounded dark and throaty like a dragon breathing deeply. I've been hunting for one ever since, but they don't all sound that way.
I have an 18" K Custom Fast Crash that is kinda throaty and trashy, but not nearly as dark as the dragon. :(
I've really started liking the old Sabian HHX-treme crashes that Matt Abts played on Gov't Mule's High & Mighty and Deja Voodoo CDs and the A Tail of Two Cities DVD. Sabian doesn't hammer them the same way anymore, so they sound like any other HHX or K.
I have 2 fav's (right now)
18" Krut Special
16" K Custom Dark
dont mock my Krut...I kid you not it sounds amazing.

I guess ... ... ... maybe ... ... ... ummmmmmm ... ... ... well ... ... ...
ONE crash???
I guess it would be a Meinl Byzance Traditional 20 Thin Ride. It has a nice front end
Paragon 16 and 18".
Avedis & Cie 18" "Vintage" crash -really more of a crash/ride. I tend to crash on ride cymbals and ride on crash cymbals!

Cool1 That is a very nice cymbal also. I bought a 16" last year and should have bought an 18" to go with it. I had the chance and didn't, now I'm keeping my eyes and ears open for one.
