Okay its my turn. I do visit DFO and Facebook from time to time but Face book is about cabinets and street rods for me, not much drum related except for the Camco group. I really do not like facebook and all of its commercials and political garbage. Reading and posting here is nice because you dont have all of that crap. I will always support VDF, this is where I met all of my good drummer friends and very glad I did because they are all super people. And for the computer vs cell phone, well Im weird, I like my PC and my 20" screen and full keyboard. I like to use my phone for a phone and my PC for a PC. Looking at a 2 inch screen and constantly swiping the screen to zoom in sucks! I hate what cell phones have done to our society, all these people with their nose constantly in the phone whether driving eating dinner or just walking down the street, hey guess what they are missing whats really going on around them. So, if cant do what I need to do at home at my desk then fine, I dont feel the need to have to take the internet everywhere I go. Enjoy those 2" screens!

And, last but not least, thank you Tommy and David for keeping VDF focused on vintage drums, it is special!!!

Thank you!

Jeff...I completely agree with your comments! Maybe it also has to do with my age (just turned 62 a few weeks ago!), but I love, and need, my PC with large monitor! I also use a "real" camera for taking pictures of my drums and have also mastered how to manipulate said pictures to properly display within the guidelines by VDF. I've received so many compliments about the drums I post, mainly because they look so nice. Yes, it takes time to obtain and learn the software and I'm finding that many of today's younger generation simply don't want to bother. If they can't do it on their smartphone, they won't do it at all!! Please know that is just my opinion!

Well I made no mention in my post, but ... PC ALL THE WAY HERE! I am completely up to speed and mobile device literate, but ... ALWAYS prefer my desk top .. yes .. desk top!, to any mobile device. By the way, that would be with a 27" monitor. The pics I post are not done with an iPhone either!... not that there's anything wrong with that of course. Point of this is, Jeff... Mark ... et al ... WE that are Quinquagenarian plus, well... that's the way we roll! I suspect that on the VDF, we are probably in the majority!
