Gretsch 60's round badge drum kit Last viewed: 1 minute ago

I'd like to offer some insight/rationale to the $2600 asking price, (be it right or wrong):

1) Included are 11 cymbal stands (incl 7 boom stands), hi hat stand, 2 snare stands, the rack tom stand and seat....all heavy duty....essentially these averaged out to approximately $31 each...= approximately $500 total.

2) Pearl Jupiter Snare, 3 Remo Roto Toms, (12", 14" & 16" NOT 6", 8" & 10") and 3 bass drum pedals = approximately $550 total.

3) 8 cymbals various sizes & case: = average cymbal price of $70 each = approximately $550 total.

The Total of #'s 1, 2 and 3 = $1600 which I felt was a conservative asking price if you break it down this way....as a package deal I just included everything for a total of $2600 which would of course include the 4 Gretsch drums with respective cases along w/the calzone case for accessories, (not that I would sell the 4 drums for the difference of $2600 - $1600...that's why it's a package deal). These are averages so please don't ask me for the average price on individual items of greater value.

I still feel, and it has been suggested here, that if I sold everything individually I would easily surpass the package price but that's not how I chose to go about this. I would prefer to deal with one individual who would pick up everything, (thus a package deal).

Anyway, that was my rationale.....I think if you look at it this way there shouldn't be any sticker shock....but then again I could be wrong !!!

what I see here is a problem with none matching hardware not like early 60's ludwigs hardware it is highly sought after as collectability. Here this is a great players kit no doubt as to other questionable issues? I am not a expert on these drums. I just don't know but as a players kit. hardware like that lays around at the drum shows and we cant give them away . so realize that and rethink it from that perspective good luck as I have been there done that but you never know strange things happen as I've sold drums for huge dollars and sold some for little of nothing to the point id rather keep them .....

April 2nd 1969 scarfed pink champagne holly wood and 65/66 downbeat snare, and , supra same year very minty kit old pies
66/67 downbeat with canister
Super 400 small round knob
1967 super classic obp

once the brass ceases to glitter, and the drum looses its luster, and the stage remains dark, all you have left is the timbre of family.
