Rusty...Other members on other forums seem to disagreee with you.The majority would not make that purchse, but imo,it will sell out as a ltd edition and be worth some big money years from now.I think the thinking behind the design is to go after the guys with money and not be concerned with us guys on the sideline.

Hit like you mean it!!

Let the others speak for them selves .........I agree the market will be for them who relate to that era, with the disposable $

I like the ride, but the drums...........How long before all that accent chrome starts pulling away from the shells. Not for me. And, how ridiculous is the price going to be on these presumably limited production kits. Might be better suited for the Gretsch HQ reception area. :2Cents:

I don't know about some of these newer kits Gretsch is putting out, as regards finishes. However, they're in the drum mfg business, not me.

I think those drums are way cool and would steal the show in the right circumstances. Picture a smoky jazz room with the band in fitted suits, shoes shined like mirrors, ties matching the drums, wearing dark shades with an upright bass player. No brainer. Would be waaaay Cool1

Even a beach boys tribute band playing these drums in the right arena would also be a spectaclular presentation, hawaiin shirts and all!!

I like em
