Help Dating Some Slingy Radio Kings Last viewed: 1 second ago

Is the fact that the tom had separate tension but double sided lugs (threaded on both sides) any indication for dating or does this change from year to year?

Although the bass drum is separate tension, like the tom, it has normal lugs with only one side threaded for a tension rod.

It's unfortunate, the snare has a ludwig mount added and is missing its throwoff. The tom has a Ludwig mount added as well. The bass has no extra holes but the wrap is in bad shape (along with the heads).

No, I don't have the book, although I should. I will probably buy a copy at some point. I have read through the Radio King information before, just not recently. I will go through it again. Thank you for sharing your knowledge.

Still a bit curious about the double threaded lugs for both the top and bottom. I guess this was an early practice and they were only manufacturing the single threaded lugs for bass drums at the time.
