Help Identifying kit -pics Last viewed: 33 minutes ago

Hey everyone, this looks like a MIJ kit, but it does appear to have Zildjian Avedis cymbals and Paiste 2002 rock hats, and some slingerland & rogers hardware...

Seller "needs" $250, I'm thinking of buying it just fir the cymbals, and getting rid of the kit if it's junk.

Any ideas on the type of kit? These are the best pics I can get for now...

Thoughts?

Seems to be a 70s Pearl. Not a bad kit, but not a great kit, either. Considering those cymbals, if you want them, snag it and sell the kit again. It makes a great beginner kit, if the edges are trued a bit. The price would be really great for cymbals alone, IMHO.

Thanks guys, sometimes you just need someone else to tell you you're getting a deal to push you into making it happen! I'll probably just clean and re-head the kit and give it to one of my nephews!

That kit looks a lot like the Mika-Sonic (might be mica) drums that came with my Ludwig kit. Thats the f$%king tom mount someone drilled into my bass drum for. :)

Was made in China.

Surrounded by drummers here! (I am a guitarist.)

Man, the MIJ kits are funny.

To me, that tom mount, arms and all, and the boass drum hoops look like old Powersonic stuff.

I hope you scooped it up, for the cymbals alone!

not real sure bout the kit but that SG sitting there beside it is one saweet guitar! nice. anyway, for 250 you can't go wrong when you concider the cymbals are worth that. good new heads and tuned up right, a guy could make it sound pretty good. would make a great kit for your nephews to start on. i'd go for it.

+ 1 on the Gibson. I own one almost exactly like that one. The inly on the neck is dots, only difference I can see. Great ax!

Thank you!
