The throw missing the tension knob with a threaded post is a Rogers 1950-53 common stock used then:

Yes! Just what I was looking for. The tension knob is with it actually, I just didn't know which one was the right one. But now I do, and I'll make or track down that threaded female piece on the bottom.

I was thinking that, but the Slingerland ones have a different hole pattern, up higher in the wing tabs. The holes on these are right in the middle of the tabs.

I managed to track down a nickel pass-through for the Rogers strainer, it doesn't have threads but visually matches very well and fits the bottom piece. I'll be putting threads on it tonight with a die set. Anyone need one of these throws?

Yes you are right... have looked around can't see one the same.. on a closer look seems like a satin finish too...
