Modern day comparison,seriously,price the same sizes and # of drums for a D.W. finish ply kit.Or price a Ludwig legacy,or a wrapped gretsch U.S.A and subtract 10 per cent.average them out.Rogers was the most expensive kit in the world at that time or close to it,more expensive than ludwig or slingerland for sure.

Yeah, the bearing edge is beat up, but I've gigged with worse. Put a bottom head on that and you should still get a pretty good sound out of it. Does decrease the value though.
