How old is this set? Last viewed: 6 hours ago

I let a photo talk first:

Doesnt it look almost like this set:

http://www.vintagedrumguide.com/images/ludwig_sets/1918-ludwig-drum-sets-1.jpg

Only difference i see is the woodblock, the snare stand has different legs, and there is no bass drum mounted cymbal, and the BD pedal doesnt have that tiny thing that hits the cymbal.

Snare about 12", more like 11" tho, no lugs, and thumb tuners only on bottom:

Bass drum 24x8" but more like 23" something. It even has the same tiny hole as the "jazz er up" cataloque pic has:

Ok, at this point i noticed i can only post 7 images per post, so i will come back later.

I havent open the snare yet but the BD had only these pencil marks inside:

Reminds me of an old I looked at a few years ago. I think it was a george lawrence stone kit? or maybe a gladstone kit. I cant remember. The stand looks like the bottom of a music stand, not a cymbal stand

The weird cymbal stand is an incomplete music stand (missing the lyre).

The snare drum is unknown to me, but reminds me of a Kent. I honestly have no idea when/where/what about it, but it's not from the same era as the bass drum.

The bass drum could be a Duplex (The claws remind me of Duplex). It looks like about 20's-30's era.

The pedal is very strange but webmaster, David, might have a clue.

Cool drum set, overall, but the snare drum would have been considered as "bare bones" as it got even in those days

The set can go as far as the early 20's. The stand that you claim to be a cymbal stand is a snare stand made by the Hamilton company they made tall snare stands for low stages. Funny I have a snare cradle for that stand among my parts department. That set my even be a Hamilton set they also made set back then. The Bass pedal is also a Hamilton pedal Wow what a find. to a collector it valued a lot of money.
