In south central Wisconsin we've been lucky in the snow department so far. We are only about a foot over our normal annual snowfall of 5'. But we've had multiple weeks of below zero temps. -14F right now.

---We may be 'snow-wimps' compared to Canadians (john)I know all about being a snow wimp!! Here on the Texas coast, good ole' Galveston area, we don't take kindly to cold a#$ weather! Our normal "winter" here is lows in the 40s, highs in the 60s, but as warm as low 70s... with the occasional cold snap that lasts all of 2 days.. This year... WOW!! lows have been in the 20s and highs in the 30s with wind and freezing rain,ice,sleet.. I ain't use to this!! Lawdy!
Amen brother. Not what I'm used to living in Houston.
I lived in the mountains of Germany and before that in the mountains of NC. So it is funny seeing people go crazy over the weather. The issue is a lot of these states are simply not prepared for it.
We all were sent home from work early because of it!

It was 32 here when I went home for lunch. First time at or above that mark here for about a week. Man, the sun it shining, and we've got ice falling off of EVERYTHING!
I'm really looking forward to the next few days, as we're still supposed to be at least in the 40s (and above) over the next 7 days!
Anyway, speaking of Texas... my parents (both 86) still spend their winters in Mission, TX (way down south!). I talked to my mom Saturday, and their highs had only been in the 30s there for a couple of days and she said they might as well have stayed in Kansas!

-23 this morning in Eastern Iowa. We are right at 60" of snow, but the weatherman says it's going to get up into in the 20's and 30's later on this week. That will feel balmy....:)
